20-day injury rehabilitation assignment.

New York Yankees -- Assigned IF Mike Gallego to Single-A Fort Lauderdale for injury rehabilitation.

Philadelphia Phillies -- Placed P Tommy Greene (shoulder tendinitis) and P Jim Lindeman (back) on the 15-day DL. Recalled P Mike Hartley, P Brad Brink and 2B Steve Scarsone from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Sent C-1B Jeff Grotewold to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Brooklyn -- Announced the resignation of baseball coach Pete Alborano and assistant baseball coach Pat Alfarano.

Cleveland State -- Announced the signing of 5-5 G Stephanie Rohe (Mercy). The state Gatorade Circle of Champions player of the year, Rohe averaged 19.8 points, 3.2 steals and 2.7 assists.

Idaho -- Announced the resignation of athletic director Gary Hunter to become athletic director at Wichita State.

Johns Hopkins -- Announced the signing of eight high school football players from Maryland: RB Hari Lymon (City), DL Troy Thingelstad (St. Paul's), LB Victor Carter-Bey (Gilman), OL Christopher Guest (Mount St. Joseph), OL John Pfeifer (Perry Hall), WR Michael Downs (South Carroll), OL David Danley (Thomas Johnson) and TE Pete Lambis (Walter Johnson).
