Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Southern District -- Police said a man with a handgun robbed the Harbor Court Hotel in the 500 block of Light St. Police said a man entered the lobby around 9:30 p.m. Monday and walked up to the desk. He pulled out a handgun and ordered an employee to give him the contents of the cash register. After taking an undisclosed sum of cash, the gunman ran out through the front door.

THEFT: Southern District -- Employees of A.S. Johnson Co. in the 1100 block of Key Highway reported that someone broke into a trailer parked on their property over the weekend and stole a heavy-duty industrial saw and two radios. Police said the property was valued at more than $2,000.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Police today were seeking a man known as "Frank" in the theft yesterday of property from a house in the 100 block of E. West St. Police said a VCR valued at $800 and a set of keys were stolen.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that a driver for Pizz-A-Boli's in the 5200 block of East Drive in Arbutus was about to deliver a food order to the occupants of a house in the 500 block of Chapelgate Lane late Monday night when he was accosted by a man wearing a black Oakland Raiders jacket and armed with a handgun. The gunman demanded the driver's money and escaped with $30.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 4500 block of Wakefield Road reported she was in the 1000 block of Poplar Grove St. Monday afternoon when she was accosted by a man with a handgun who knocked her to the ground and robbed her of a gold chain. Police said the value of the jewelry was not known.

CAB HOLDUP: Southwestern District -- A driver for the Diamond Cab Co. in the 1900 block of Ashburton St. reported he was in the 700 block of Linnard St. late Monday night when a man he picked up earlier pulled out a handgun and ordered him to give up his money. Police said the gunman escaped with more than $100.

SHOOTING: Eastern District -- Police reported two men were shot, one critically, during an attempted robbery last night on East 20th Street. Police said Harold Huie, 35, of the 700 block of W. Lafayette Ave., was in the 500 block of E. 20th St. around 6:30 p.m. when he was stopped by a man who demanded his money. When Mr. Huie resisted, the man shot Mr. Huie in the left leg. Police said as Mr. Huie attempted to flee, the gunman fired at least two other shots, striking Ryan Clark, 29, of the 3300 block of W. Belvedere Ave., in the stomach and right hand as he was getting out of his car. Police said the gunman escaped. Both wounded men were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where Mr. Huie was admitted for treatment of a broken leg and Mr. Clark was listed in critical condition.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Police reported that a resident of the 1500 block of Druid Hill Ave. was in the 3600 block of Springdale Ave. early Monday when he was stopped by a man with a sawed-off shotgun who demanded his money and valuables. Police said the victim gave the gunman cash and property, all valued at more than $200.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 3900 block of Labyrinth Road reported he was walking near his home around 1 a.m. Monday when he was accosted by a man with a handgun who demanded his money. Police said the gunman fled after the victim gave up his cash and valuables, all worth at least $250.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Officials at Johns Hopkins University in the 3400 block of N. Charles St. reported that someone entered an office over the weekend and stole a computer printer. Police said the office equipment was valued at more than $1,000 and that a key apparently was used to enter the office.

THEFT: Northern District -- A resident of the 5700 block of Wesley Ave. reported that while his 1982 Ford van was parked in the 2800 block of St. Paul St. Monday someone broke into the vehicle through the sliding door and stole a floor edger and other tools. Police said the property was valued at more than $1,000.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that someone broke into an apartment in the 200 block of E. University Parkway over the weekend and stole a compact disc player and a 35mm camera. Police said the property was valued at more than $700 and that entry was gained through a first-floor window.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police said a man with a sawed-off shotgun accosted a resident of the 5200 block of Springlake Way while the victim walked near his home Monday night and demanded his money. Police said the gunman escaped with the victim's cash and other property, all valued at more than $100.

THEFT: Northern District -- A resident of the 2500 block of Violet Ave. reported that someone entered onto his property Monday afternoon and stole a 26-inch tiller. Police said the tiller was valued at more than $900.
