Race relations

It's your call

May 13, 1992

Of 358 callers to SUNDIAL, 215 (60 percent) say race relations are worse, while 143 (39 percent) say that is not the case.

Government should not be doing more for the cities, in the view of 203 of 359 callers (56 percent), while 156 (43 percent) say otherwise.

In a close vote among 356 respondents, 185 (nearly 52 percent) disapprove of the way President Bush responded to the Los Angeles riots, while 171 callers (48 percent) approve.

"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically, as a scientific public opinion poll would be.
