How would you describe your taste in clothing?

I'm conservative and classic, never flamboyant. My work keeps me informed on what is happening in fashion so I'm not immune to trends, but I'm most comfortable in my khakis.

What's the newest thing in your closet?

It's a new seersucker suit from J. Crew. I wear it with a linen shirt, green and white polka-dot tie and white bucks.

What's the oldest thing in your closet?

I have a bright yellow Ralph Lauren sweat shirt that's about eight years old.

Do you have a true standby that you wear to feel good?

The outfit I like the most is whichever one is newest.

What have you held on to for sentimental reasons?

I have my grandfather's gold cuff-links. I wear them a lot because French cuff shirts are fun to wear.

What is your wardrobe weakness?

I go for sweat shirts -- colors, stripes, rugbys. I dress up for work on the three days I schedule meetings. The other days I dress down in sweats.

What's the most expensive item in your closet?

My olive,double-breasted Armani suit cost around $900.

What's the least expensive item in your closet?

A white T-shirt from Britches was $10.

What's the wildest outfit you've ever bought?

The brightest outfit I own is a purple cashmere blazer which I put with gray slacks and bright yellow bow tie.

What are your favorite accessories?

My blue and purple baseball cap from The Gap.

Do you have any shopping tips to share?

I love Macy's Wednesday one-day sales, but I go early on Tuesday night after they start marking down about 8 p.m. I will also take the hour and a half to drive to the Ralph Lauren outlet in Martinsburg W.Va. It's often hit or miss, but I can always count on finding basics such as blue oxford shirts.
