Multiple Sclerosis Society, Maryland Chapter wants volunteers for its 9th Annual Salisbury ''MS Summer Retreat'' to be held June 14 to 20 and June 21 to 27 at Salisbury State College. The retreat provides people with MS an opportunity for recreation, socialization and education. Volunteers will help with unpacking, serving refreshments, meal-related tasks, push wheelchairs around the campus for evening activities and trips, in-water activities and much more. Applicants must be age 16 or over. Volunteers live on the college campus and have free food and lodging. Commuters are also welcome. For more information call the Eastern Shore MS Branch Office at (410) 543-0007.

Essex Community College Children's Developmental Clinic director Dr. Lois M. Shofer is planning a 20-year reunion for May 21 for all former participants -- parents, kids, and volunteers. Dr. Shofer would like addresses or telephone numbers to update her mailing list. Call her at the college, 522-1287.

Mid-Town Churches Community Association needs volunteers for its mentoring, education, employment and training program and also for the extra-care program as health-care providers and literacy assistants. For details about these and other opportunities, call (410) 889-3001.
