By a count of 202 to 176 (53 percent vs. 46 percent) among 378 respondents, callers to SUNDIAL agree with the Governor's Drug and Alcohol Commission in its unanimous vote against the legalization or decriminalization of drugs.

However, most callers disagree with the commission's chairman, who says that drug abuse is declining. Of 375 callers, 293 (78 percent) say it is not down, and 82 (21 percent) say it is declining.
