Fox will expand its prime-time schedule to six nights a week by launching a Wednesday lineup on July 1, the network said.

The 8-to-10 p.m. slate will feature the season premiere of "Melrose Place," the mega-hyped "Beverly Hills, 90210" spinoff starring newcomers Grant Show, Courtney Thorne-Smith, Josie Bissett, Thomas Calabro and others. The complete Wednesday schedule will be announced soon, Fox says.

Fox now broadcasts prime-time fare Thursday through Saturday nights from 8 to 10 and Sundays from 7 to 11.
