FORT WASHINGTON -- William Fahy guided Banjo Farms' Simply Ravishing to a stakes/lifetime mark of 1 minute, 54.1 seconds to win the 23rd edition of the John W. Miller Memorial at Rosecroft Raceway last night.

Fahy stayed to his plan to follow pacesetting Come Unwound (Dean Zaimes) throughout. Challenges from Pensive (Ray Remmen) and Dazzling Light (Cat Manzi) flattened out turning for home. Simply Ravishing won the $172,740 race with two lengths to spare.

In a three-way blanket photo for the place, Come Unwound held off Ever And Again (Jim Morand) and Musette Hanover (John Hogan). Pensive was fifth.

It was Simply Ravishing's first win of 1992 for trainer Ed Howard. Her $86,370 first-place earnings boosted her career total to $189,241, and her time of 1:54.1 erased the stakes record of 1:54.2, set by Instant Rebate (Bill Gale) in 1990.
