Old Mill takes boys, girls crowns Track and field

Old Mill swept the boys and girls titles in yesterday's Anne Arundel County Track and Field Championships at Annapolis High School.

The Patriot girls, led by junior Michelle Smith and sophomore Raina Domneys, won their 12th straight county championship by outdistancing second-place Meade, 158-102. The boys took their fourth consecutive title, 145 1/2 -122 1/2 , over Meade.

Domneys won two events and placed fourth in another. Smith took second in three events and upset Chesapeake's Mattie Cymek in the discus with a personal best of 134 feet, 2 inches.
