Here's what to look for if you are traveling in the Baltimore metropolitan area this week.

New highway projects

Interstate 695, inner and outer loops, from Reisterstown Road to Greenspring Avenue -- Through July 1, expect daily lane closings from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for patching and paving.

U.S. 50 bridge over Sinepuxent Bay at Ocean City -- Monday through Friday, one lane in each direction will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for mechanical repairs to the bridge. Temporary 10-minute closures in both directions will occur occasionally. During the same period, the bridge will be closed to marine traffic.

I-695 at Milford Mill Road -- Next Sunday, from 5 a.m. to noon, two lanes on the outer loop of I-695 between Interstate 795 and Liberty Road (Route 26) will be closed for bridge deck repairs.

I-83 north to Padonia Road -- Controlled lane closures today from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. for bridge repairs. Traffic flow will be maintained.

U.S. 50/301 from the Patuxent River to the Severn River -- From 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., lane closures on eastbound and westbound U.S. 50/301 to overlay existing pavements and to place temporary concrete barriers.

York Road, Route 45 -- Lane closures from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday between Fairmount and Bellona avenues for milling and paving.

I-95, at the westbound Eastern Avenue access ramp to southbound I-95 -- Ramp closed for 45 days beginning at 9 a.m. tomorrow to facilitate repaving and bridge repairs on I-95.

Francis Scott Key Bridge - I-695 -- From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Exit 43 will be closed for bridge deck repairs. Detours will be posted.

Cromwell Street Extension Project -- Cromwell Street from Hanover to McComas will open to traffic at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The $5.5 million extension project will provide enhanced access to the Port Covington Commons Business Park development.

Bus route changes:

The MTA has scheduled the following bus route changes for this week. For more information, call 539-5000; TTY for the hearing-impaired, 539-3497.

Preakness Parade

The Preakness Parade Friday from the State Office Complex to the Inner Harbor will temporarily reroute portions of these bus lines between 6:15 p.m. and 9 p.m. -- Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23, 27, 28, 31, 35, 36, 43, 61, 62, 63, 64, 70, 91 and 210.

Temporary rerouting

On Saturday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Pimlico Road between Northern Parkway and Cross Country Boulevard will be one-way northbound because of the Preakness at Pimlico Racetrack. The following bus lines will be rerouted:

No. 27 (Rogers Avenue/Reisterstown Plaza station service) -- Northbound via regular route westbound on Kelly Avenue to Cross Country Boulevard, west on Cross Country, west on Glen Avenue, south on Park Heights Avenue, west on Northern Parkway, south on Wabash Avenue, east on Eldorado Avenue, and north on the main drive to the designated loading area at Rogers Avenue station. No change in trips to Reisterstown Plaza station.

No. 44 (Gwynn Oak Park service) -- Westbound via regular route on Northern Parkway to Falls Road, north on Falls Road, west on Kelly, west on Cross Country Boulevard, west on Glen, south on Park Heights, west on Northern, then via regular route. Eastbound via regular route on Northern to Preakness Way, east on Northern to Belvedere Avenue, then via regular route.

No. 44 (Brighton Service) -- Westbound via regular route on Northern to Falls, north on Falls Road, west on Kelly, west on Cross Country, then via regular route. Eastbound from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., via regular route on Cross Country to Pimlico Road, east on Cross Country, east on Kelly, south on Falls Road, east on Northern Parkway, then via regular route.

No. 9 -- Buses are rerouted because of a temporary change in traffic patterns in Towson. With York Road closed to southbound traffic at Allegheny Avenue, northbound buses are diverted from regular route to York and Pennsylvania Avenue, north on York, north on Dulaney Valley Road, west on Fairmount Avenue, north on York, then via regular route. Southbound buses travel regular route to York and Fairmount, east on Fairmount, south on Dulaney Valley, south on York, then via regular route.

Permanent route changes

Nos. 5, 8, 23 and 35 -- Effective tomorrow, these bus lines will be changed due to new traffic patterns on Saratoga and Lexington streets. No. 5 northbound, 8 southbound and 35 westbound will travel regular route southbound on Holliday Street to Saratoga, south on Holliday, east on Lexington, south on Frederick Street, then via regular route. Eastbound, No. 23 will travel regular route on Lexington to Gay, east on Lexington, south on Frederick, then via regular route.
