Congratulations to Towson State University's School of Business and Economics for winning full accreditation from the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business for its undergraduate programs. Only one-third of the nation's business schools meet AACSB standards.
Towson thus joins Loyola College and the University of Baltimore, which also have accredited graduate programs, in an important enhancement of the Maryland business scene. Only a little over four years ago, Baltimore was one of the few large American cities without a single AACSB-accredited institution. This lack gave credence to complaints frequently heard from employers. Now Baltimore has three prestigious business schools -- and is the better for it.
