Staples resets 100 hurdle mark Harford County track

Joppatowne's Thori Staples and Edgewood's Chris Gibbons and Rebecca Lesesne won four gold medals each at the Harford County Track and Field Championships yesterday at Fallston High School.

Staples bettered her county record in the 100-meter hurdles, winning in 15.36 seconds. The senior also won the long jump and 800- and 400-meter runs.

Gibbons, also a senior, won his medals in the 100- and 200-meter --es, as well as the 400- and 800-meter relays. Freshman Lesesne duplicated Gibbons' success on the girls side.

Buoyed by strong performances in the distance and field events, C. Milton Wright won its sixth straight boys title. The Mustangs beat Edgewood, 184-118. Fallston won the girls title, 129-99, over C. Milton Wright.
