Rosemary Okoye and Nancy Lago, students at the Catholic High School of Baltimore, were presented with the College of Notre Dame of Maryland's 1996 Centennial Scholarship.

Pankaj Merchia, a Johns Hopkins University senior from Marlton, has won a Thomas J. Watson Foundation Fellowship, an award given to graduating seniors throughout the country who have demonstrated both leadership potential and interest in an academic area.

Thomas Gindling, assistant professor of economics at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to continue his research on Costa Rican labor markets.

Baltimore-based broadcast personality and independent television producer Donna Hamilton is among the recipients of the 1992 Ohio State Awards, one of the most prestigious honors in broadcasting, for her documentary, "The Peacemakers."

The Associated Italian American Charities presented the following awards: Dr. Frank C. Marino Award to S. Eric DiNenna; Distinguished Service Award to Philip A. Rapisarda; and Young

Man of the Year Award to Frank F. Fazazza III.

Dr. R Adams Cowley, founder and first director of the Shock Trauma Center and the statewide Maryland Emergency Medical Services System, was honored posthumously by the Maryland Speech-Language-Hearing Association for his accomplishments, including his work in trauma rehabilitation in Maryland.

Diane Levine, a Bryn Mawr School English teacher, was one of teachers from across the nation to receive a Fellowship for Independent Studies in the Humanities.

Forrest K. Gladding, a senior at Archbishop Curley High School, has been selected a Villa Julie College Key Scholar and awarded a full tuition scholarship for the 1992-'93 academic year.
