Two Baltimore men charged in shooting

Two Baltimore men were charged with robbery and attempted murder in an April 6 shooting at a Linthicum gas station, county police said.

Joseph Larry Burr, 18, of the 1100 block of Cleveland Ave., and Richard Woodward Channell, 19, of the 300 block of S. Mount St., also were charged with possession of a sawed-off shotgun and assault with intent to murder, police said.

A 31-year-old attendant at Frank's Exxon station, in the 700 block of Nursery Road, was shot in the back during a robbery.

Channell was being held yesterday in the Baltimore County Detention Center, and Burr was being held in the Anne Arundel County Detention Center, police said.

The same station was robbed Tuesday morning by three men, one of whom was armed with a knife. Police described the robbers only as black men in their 20s.
