City Man Charged In Damage To Bar

A 25-year-old Annapolis man was charged early yesterday with breaking down a door and punching in two windows at a downtown pub, police said.

Mark Morgan of the 1700 block of Point No Point Drive was arrested at 1 a.m. fleeing from McGarvey's Saloon at City Dock, police said. The suspect was apprehended after a brief chase up Cornhill Street, police said.

The staff at McGarvey's alleged that Morgan became unruly and broke the door to the upstairs men's room, then punched in the windows after being escorted to the door, police said.

POLICE SAY WOMAN CONCEALED WEAPON

Annapolis police disarmed and arrested a 33-year-old woman early yesterday, after she was found to be carrying a broken broomstick with a plastic bag full of broken glass and a 10-inch steak knife.

The woman, Rosalyn M. Shannon of the 800 block of Betsy Court, was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon after an officer observed her shouting in the middle of the 700 block of Newtowne Drive shortly after midnight, police said. The officer ordered her to drop the broom stick she was carrying, police said.

When police searched the woman, they found a steak knife in her shorts, police said.

2 ROB GAS STATION, ASSAULT ATTENDANT

County police were looking for two men who robbed a Linthicum gas station early Tuesday.

Police said the men walked up to an attendant at the Exxon station in the 700 block of Nursery Road at 1:27 a.m. One of the robbers brandished a knife and demanded money.

The attendant told the robbers the money was in the station and tried to yell for help. The robbers went through the man's pocket and punched him in the face.

Two mechanics chased the robbers but did not catch them.

Police described the pair only as black men in their 20s.
