Betty L. Russell
Services for Betty L. Russell, who retired about 10 years ago as a demonstrator of small appliances for Baltimore Gas and Electric Co., will be held at 11 a.m. today at the John C. Miller Inc. funeral home, 6415 Belair Road.
Mrs. Russell, who was 63, moved recently from Northeast Baltimore to Bel Air. She died Saturday of cancer at Good Samaritan Hospital.
She had worked for BG&E nearly 15 years. Before that, she sold Avon products door to door for about 10 years.
Born in Baltimore, the former Betty L. Addicks was a 1948 graduate of Patterson Park High School.
She is survived by her husband, Earl M. Russell; two daughters, Gay Russell of Towson and Nancy Busey of Bel Air; three brothers, Christian Addicks of Baltimore, Franklin Addicks of Rosedale and Dr. Earl M. Addicks of Westminster; and four grandchildren.
Real estate appraiser
Services for Stephanie C. Grasser, a commercial real estate appraiser in New Jersey who grew up in the Baltimore area, will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Downing Funeral Home in Bethlehem, Pa.
Mrs. Grasser, 38, died of a stroke Thursday in Cancun, Mexico, where she was on vacation. She had moved from Hopatcong, N.J., to Bethlehem about a year and a half ago.
Born in Chesnee, S.C., the former Stephanie Crook was a graduate of Catonsville High School.
She was employed by United Evaluators of New Jersey in Hanover, N.J.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Grasser; two stepsons, Joseph and Jason Grasser of Hopatcong; her father, James A. Crook of Hagerstown; a brother, Timothy J. Crook of Edgewood; and a sister, Debra Crook of Orlando, Fla.
