Armed Man Robs Aberdeen Food Store

An armed man took an undisclosed amount of cash during a robbery at the Wawa Food Market in the 200 block of North Philadelphia Boulevardin Aberdeen Thursday afternoon, city police said.

At about 4:25 p.m., a man entered the shop, displayed a handgun to a store clerk anddemanded money, police said. After getting the money, the suspect fled.

The suspect is described as a black man, about 6 feet tall, with a thin build and mustache, police said. He was wearing a dark jacket and a dark cap.

ELKTON MAN KILLED IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

Arnold S. Narod, 46, of Elkton was killed when his vehicle collided head-on with a tractor trailer on U.S. 1 near DarlingtonThursday morning, state police at Benson said.

Narod was traveling south on U.S. 1 at 10:10 a.m. when his pickup crossed the center line, traveling into the path of a tractor trailer driven by Norman L. McCaslin of Conowingo.

Narod was dead at the scene, said police. McCaslin was treated for minor injuries and released from Harford Memorial Hospital, police said.

Bel Air

Bel Air Plaza: An undetermined amount of liquor was stolen from the Deano's Pizza and Sub shop on April 17, town police said. Loss totaled $500.

Belcamp

4100 and 4300 block of Cowan Place: A 1986 Honda worth $4,800 was stolen on April 14, the Sheriff's Office said. A 1985 Toyota worth $8,040 was stolen from the 4300 block of Cowan Place on the same day.

Havre de Grace

600 block of Franklin Street: A television and videocassette recorder, worth $750, were stolen from a house on April 18, city police said.
