Smith leads Suns to Wednesday sweep

HAGERSTOWN -- Mark Smith drove in the winning run with a last-inning single in the opener, and homered in the second game, as the Hagerstown Suns swept a doubleheader from the Harrisburg Senators, 4-3 and 3-1, in Double-A Eastern League action last night. The result left both teams at 6-6.

Jeff Baumgarner was the winning pitcher in the first game, and Kip Yaughn got the decision in the second when he gave up seven hits and struck out seven in six innings. Jeff Williams picked up the save. Sergio Cairo and Tim Holland each had three hits for the Suns in the opener, and Sam Ferretti had two hits in the second game.
