Harry N. Raynor Sr., who worked for the Social Security Administration from its establishment in 1935 until his retirement 23 years ago, died Saturday at Church Hospital of complications of Alzheimer's disease. He was 81 and lived on Thames Street.
Services for Mr. Raynor were being held today at the Charlton Funeral Home, 2007 Eastern Ave.
He worked for the Internal Revenue Service after his graduation from City College in 1928.
He is survived by three sons, Gene M. Raynor of Baltimore, who is state administrator of election laws, Harry N. Raynor Jr. of Miami and Charles H. Raynor of Fort Howard; a daughter, Susan R. Haupt of Severna Park; two sisters, Jeanette Phillips of Silver Spring and Virginia Torre of Palm Coast, Fla.; two brothers, Frederick C. and John L. Raynor, both of Dundalk; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
