April 21, 1992|By The following accounts were compiled by reporter Alisa Samuels from police records in the Baltimore area yesterday and today.

Because of incorrect information provided by city police, a Police Blotter item Tuesday incorrectly reported that a woman had been arrested in connection with throwing hot water on her boyfriend at their home in the 1300 block of Sargeant St. In fact, the man was arrested, accused of throwing water on her.

Baltimore City

LARCENY: Central District -- Two men robbed another man of his bank card and $400 at an automated teller machine at Holliday and Fayette streets. The crime occurred about 12:30 a.m. Sunday but the victim reported it yesterday.

AUTO THEFT: Central District -- A gold Pontiac Fiero with Maryland plates WTV-690 was stolen from the first block of W. Mount Royal Ave. about 8 p.m. yesterday.


THEFT: Central District -- A woman was robbed about 8 p.m. yesterday in the 600 block of St. Paul St. when the man she asked for directions reached into her car and grabbed her purse. A witness to the incident gave chase and caught the purse-snatcher, who was detained until police arrived.

LARCENY: Central District -- Someone shattered a window of a car parked in the 1300 block of Druid Hill Ave. about 6 p.m. and stole an undetermined amount of property.

LARCENY: Central District -- Someone took a car telephone from a parked car in the 200 block of E. Madison St. about 3 p.m. yesterday.

RAPE: Eastern District -- A woman reported she was raped after she passed out from ingesting alcohol and drugs about 12:30 a.m. yesterday on Federal Street.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- The owner of Turner's Grocery Store in the 2400 block of E. Lafayette Ave. said five men entered his store about 7:40 p.m. yesterday, pointed what he described as a machine gun at him and robbed him of $250.

ARMED ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A man reported that while he was in the 800 block of N. Wolfe St. about 5 p.m., two men pointed a handgun at him and took his government check and lottery tickets, all valued at $341.

ARMED ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A 17-year-old reported that while he was in the 1000 block of McDonogh St. about 10 p.m. Sunday, two teen-agers, one armed with a sawed-off shotgun, robbed him of his $200 leather jacket.

ASSAULT-ROBBERY: Northern District -- A 35-year-old man said that while he was at a service station in the 5100 block of York Road at 12:55 a.m. yesterday, two men approached him and ordered him out of his Hyundai. They shot him in the right foot and took his car. The victim was treated at Union Memorial Hospital and released.

ASSAULT-ROBBERY: Northern District -- A 22-year-old man reported that at 11 p.m. Sunday, four attackers knocked him down in the 2700 block of Greenmount Ave. and took $82. One juvenile was arrested.

ARMED ROBBERY: Northern District -- At 3:45 p.m. yesterday, two men and a woman entered a Hess shoe store in the 5100 block of E. Belvedere Ave. and pretended to browse. Then one of the trio pulled out a handgun, put it to the clerk's head and demanded money. The clerk gave the robbers $388 and they fled. There were no reported injuries.

LARCENY: Northern District -- A 38-year-old woman reported that between 2:25 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. yesterday, someone stole her purse, which contained $465, from her desk at her office in the 3400 block of N. Charles St.

LARCENY: Northern District -- A 56-year-old man said someone broke out a window in his car between 11 p.m. Sunday and 1 p.m. yesterday and stole a radar detector and compact discs valued at $550. His car was parked in the 500 block of W. University Parkway.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- Shortly after 1:20 a.m. yesterday, a resident of the 1600 block of Roundhill Road reported that while he was in his basement, his intoxicated mother fired two rounds from .22-caliber handgun at him. He fled the house uninjured and called police. His mother was arrested.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- A man struck his girlfriend in the face, head and legs with a piece of lumber between 10 p.m. Sunday and 12:50 a.m. yesterday. She was treated at Union Memorial Hospital and he was arrested.

RAPE: Northeastern District -- At 11 p.m. Sunday, a woman walking in the 5200 block of Frankford Ave. was forced into a laundry room of an apartment complex and raped.

ARMED ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- At 1 p.m. yesterday, a gunman entered the Beauty Outlet store in the 3900 block of Erdman Ave. and demanded money. He was given $223 and stole $34 worth of property.

ARMED ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- At 12:50 p.m. yesterday, a man robbed another man of $50 at Clark's Grocery in the 3200 block of Chesterfield Ave.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT -- Northeastern District -- A 5-year-old boy reported he and his friends were playing in the 2800 block of Kennedy Ave. at 2:15 p.m. when three teen-agers appeared and shot them with a pellet gun. The pellet gun was recovered, but the teen-agers escaped.
