Baltimore City

THEFT: Central District -- Someone stole a Maryland registration tag from a car parked yesterday in the 1200 block of Mount Royal Ave.

ROBBERY ATTEMPT: Central District -- At about 4 p.m. yesterday, a gunman pulled out a handgun and threatened a man in the 100 block of W. Madison St., but the intended robbery victim knocked the gun away and the gunman fled.

LARCENY: Central District -- Someone broke into a car parked in the 600 block of Dolphin St. between noon and 6 p.m. yesterday. The thief took some tools and a wallet containing $45 and credit cards.

LARCENY: Central District -- Someone broke into a car parked in the 1900 block of St. Paul St. between 4:30 and 7 p.m. yesterday and stole a leather coat and cassette tapes. The items were valued at $420.

AUTO THEFT: Southeastern District -- Someone stole a 1991 Nissan from the 2000 block of E. Lombard St. The owner of the car said she parked it about 8 p.m. Saturday. When she left her home to drive the car yesterday, the auto was gone. The Maryland plates are 498-ACS.

ARMED ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A 47-year-old man reported that two attackers, one armed with a handgun, took $305 from him as he sat in his car in the 100 block of Elmwood Ave. He was not injured.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District-- A 58-year-old resident reported that when he returned home yesterday, he found that someone had broken into his home and stolen $140 in cash and $50 worth of clothing.

LARCENY: Southeastern District -- A 28-year-old woman reported that when she went to her car, which was parked yesterday in the 300 block of S. Ann St., she discovered that a window had been broken and 10 cassette tapes had been stolen.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Southeastern District -- A 39-year-old man reported he was walking in the 200 block of Aisquith St. about 11 p.m. Saturday when he heard a gunshot. Later, he discovered he had been shot in the leg.

THEFT: Northern District-- Someone stole $425 worth of white wicker furniture from a porch in the 2700 block of White Ave.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone broke a window pane at a home in the 5400 block of Belair Road, went inside and stole $700 worth of property.

ASSAULT, ROBBERY: Northern District -- A man in his 20s entered a home in the 4400 block of Belair Road by kicking down the front door. He reportedly chased the female resident upstairs and took a television set.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that someone entered a home in the 1000 block of Quantril Way through a front window and stole property valued at $250.

LARCENY: Northern District -- Someone stole a 1991 Suzuki all-terrain vehicle from a back yard in the 4200 block of Belmont Road, police said. The vehicle was valued at $3,000.

LARCENY: Northern District -- Someone stole a $200, 26-inch red mountain bike from a back yard in the 4200 block of Nicholas Ave.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone broke into the H.H. Franz Co. in the 3200 block of Falls Cliff Road and stole items valued at $620, including a television and a microwave oven, police said.

ASSAULT, ARMED ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Police reported that a woman was struck in the face by a gunman, who took her purse containing $105.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District-- Someone entered a home in the 6000 block of Woodcrest Ave. and stole $12,000 worth of property, police said.

LARCENY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered Allan Professional Services in the 5900 block of Oakleaf Ave. and stole property valued at an estimated $17,000, police said.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Western District -- An 18-year-old from the 1000 block of W. Franklin St. reported he was shot in the leg with a pellet gun while walking in the 100 block of N. Fremont Ave. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men attacked another man in the 1600 block of McKean Ave. and stole his wallet containing $50, police said. The victim was treated for cuts at Bon Secours Hospital.

THEFT: Western District -- A woman reported that her purse was snatched while she walked in the 1400 block of N. Fulton Ave. She lost $40 in valuables.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone broke into a home in the 600 block of Dover St. and stole property valued at $1,215, police said.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: White Marsh District -- A woman reported that she was getting out of her car in the 9100 block of Abigail Drive when a robber knocked her down and grabbed her purse.

ROBBERY: Essex District -- A juvenile was charged with stealing a bicycle in the 800 block of Hyde Parke Drive, police reported. They said that when the owner of the bike refused to hand it over, another youth pushed the victim to the ground and took the bicycle.
