AT&T General Business Systems in Silver Spring won an $18,750,000 contract from the Defense Supply Service to lease, purchase and service telecommunications stations equipment for the Department of Defense within the National Capital Region.

Universities Space Research Association in Columbia won a $2,300,000 contract from NASA for microgravity experiments and theoretical research.
Hughes STX Corp. in Lanham won a $913,274 contract from Goddard Space Flight Center to develop, maintain and provide processing and analysis support for science informations systems centers.
Eastern Analytical Inc. in College Park won a $49,990 contract from NASA for research and development.
