Dr. Theodore E. Woodward, professor emeritus of medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, was recently awarded the American College of Physicians Distinguished Teacher Award.

Donita Garrett, a Baltimore City public school teacher, and Laurie Mohler, a student at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, have been chosen as members of the American Red Cross delegation of young adult volunteer representatives at Expo '92 in Seville, Spain. They will join 500 Red Cross volunteers from 149 countries to staff the Pavilion of the International Red Cross.

Kenneth and Kathyrn Warfield of Northshire Drive will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary May 2. A celebration was held April 14 at the William J. Buhl V.F.W. Post 3217.

Vondeleah Watson, a sophomore at Seton Keough High School, was recently presented the Outstanding Youth Award from the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary for her participation as a 4H counselor in the school's chapter of Students Against Driving Drunk.

Four members of Goucher College's class of 1992 have been elected to the college's Phi Beta Kappa chapter. They are Crystal Burnette, Nancy Ray Diehl, Rosemarie Newport and Shirley Shorter.
