Jones Intercable Inc. received the National Cable Television Association's Seal of Good Customer Service recently from County Executive Robert R. Neall.

Jones Intercable was awarded the seal in recognition of its yearlong performance of high-quality service to its customers.

A buffet luncheon and a brief ceremony were conducted at the company's office in Gambrills.


The county Department of Aging offers a videotape explaining programs and services available to county seniors.

The tape, about 19 minutes long, coversall of the department's programs and services, ranging from informational to health-care services, from transportation to nutritional programs, and from volunteer to employment opportunities.

United Cable Television of Annapolis contributed in the making of the tape for the department.

Meals on Wheels has volunteer positions available Mondays through Fridays as packers and drivers of visitors at kitchen sites in Glen Burnie, Severna Park and Annapolis.
