Maj. Gen. John S. Guthrie Jr., who led the 97th U.S. Army Reserve Command headquarters at Fort Meade, relinquished his assignment in a change-of-command ceremony that was held yesterday at Fort Meade's McGlachlin Field. General Guthrie will now serve as reserve adviser of manpower and reserve affairs in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army at the Pentagon.
