Andrew D. Zeller, 14, an avid Baltimore Oriole fan and freshman at Hershey (Pa.) High School, died Monday of leukemia at a hospital in Hershey.
Andrew attended last Friday's exhibition game at Oriole Park. In response to his last wish and as a tribute to him, Andrew's friends and family attended last night's Orioles-Indians game in the Camden Yards ballpark.
Services for Andrew were being held today at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hummelstown, Pa., where he lived.
The Baltimore native was an acolyte and a member of the youth group at Zion Church.
Andrew played the piano, collected baseball cards and was an outfielder on a team in the Harrisburg Baseball Association. He won a sportsmanship award in 1990.
He is survived by his parents, Kent and LaDonna Zeller of Hummelstown; a sister, Megan Zeller, also of Hummelstown; his paternal grandparents, Harry C. and Evelyn Zeller of Lutherville; and his maternal grandparents, Walter and Violet March of York, Pa.
