W. Turner Moore Jr., retired vice president of Parkwood Cemeteries Inc., died Tuesday of cancer at his home on Charlesmead Road. He was 83.
Memorial services for Mr. Moore were being held today at the Second Presbyterian Church, 4200 St. Paul St.
He retired in 1974 after 12 years with the cemetery company. Earlier, he was general manager of the Palace Towel Corp., a linen rental company, and worked for a stock brokerage.
Born in Baltimore, he graduated from Baltimore City College after attending the Polytechnic Institute. He also attended Johns Hopkins University.
He was a member of the board and former president of the St. George's Society of Baltimore. He had been treasurer of the Mount Washington Lacrosse Club.
