April 08, 1992|By KENT BAKER

Score Thirty Eight came from just off the pace to take the lead on the final turn as he romped to a 2 1/4 -length upset yesterday in the Pimlico Race Course feature.

Sent off at 12-1 odds, Score Thirty Eight held off the closers, Miracle's Legacy and Standish, to notch his third lifetime win in 17 starts.

Miracle's Legacy, claimed twice and lost via claim by King Leatherbury, held off Standish, who was coming from last, by a head for the place.

NOTES: ESPN began showing replays last night of Arazi's five-length victory in the Prix Omnium II yesterday in his final tuneup for the Kentucky Derby.
