Sunday's Western Circuit Show Winners

WESTMINSTER — The Carroll County Equestrian Council sponsored a Western circuit show Sunday at the Westminster Agricultural Center.

* Pre-youth (age 7 and under) -- champion, Laura Miller on Jetts Jessica; reserve champion, Kristin Miller on Sugar Bumps.

* Western performance A (18 and over) -- champion, Allen Schmidt on Pine Deluxe; reserve champion, Brenda Godfrey on Hustling Honchos.

* Western performance B (13 to 18) -- champion, Lisa Baublitz on W. T. Twister; reserve champion, Ann Biddison on M. H. M. Miss Happ.

* Englishpleasure A -- champion, Jennifer Derry on My Buddy Baxter; reserve champion, Sharon Biddison on Sir Buffington.

* English pleasure B -- champion, Lisa Baublitz on Head Bender; reserve champion, Robin Hall on Dancer.

* English pleasure Y (8-13) -- champion, Kelly Sands on 2T Poco Grey; reserve champion, Lauren Weishaar on Dry Scotch.

* English hunter A -- champion, Jennifer Derry on My Buddy Baxter; reserve champion, Sharon Biddison on Sir Buffington.

* English hunter B -- champion, Lisa Baublitz on Head Bender; reserve champion, Marti Fair on Excellent Ruler.

* Speed A -- champion, Melissa Lawrenceon Rafriuf Rajah.

* Speed B -- champion, Allen Schmidt Jr. on Dinah.

* Showmanship/Horsemanship/Equitation -- champion, Sally Eck on Ty Dy; reserve champion, Robin Hall on Quick Checkers.

CONAWAYS RIDE TO WINS

Kelly Conaway and her brother, Charlie Conaway III, of Taylorsville, won several weekend events.

Kelly won the combines small-medium pony division and Charlie won the junior horse race Sundayat the Marlborough Point-to-Point at Davidsonville, Anne Arundel County. Kelly was aboard Garfield, while Charlie was riding Roland Slew.

On Saturday, while Charlie was wrestling in a tournament in New Jersey, Kelly won two more races at the Elkridge-Harford Point-to-Point meet in Harford County. She rode Garfield to victory in the race for medium ponies, then climbed aboard Natalie to win the small pony race.
