Bull And Oyster Roast Proceeds Go To Scholarship Fund

Italian delights, games of chance, and dancing -- what better way tospend a Saturday evening?

The LaContrino/Carrollton Lodge 2402, Sons of Italy, is sponsoring its annual bull and oyster roast to benefit its scholarship fund.

The menu promises charcoal pit beef, raw oysters, minestrone, Italian sausage and more, at a cost of $21 per person. The event runs 7 p.m. to midnight at Sykesville Volunteer Fire Department, Route 32.

Don't wait until Saturday to satisfyyour pasta tastes. The Carroll County Education Center is tossing salad and spaghetti at dinner Friday.

The cost is $5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and $3 for children. You can chose from two seatings at 5:30 or 6:30 p.m. at the school at 495 S. Center St., Westminster.

The Union Bridge Volunteer Fire Co. serves an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. atthe Fire Hall, Locust Street. The cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children.

And from noon on, you can enjoyoysters, turkey and ham at Gamber Fire Hall, 3838 Niner Road. The cost is $10 for adults and $4.50 for children.

Francis Scott Key High School students have finished rehearsing, and on Friday and Saturday, they will be performing "Rehearsal for Murder," a mysterious play within a play.
