ASSAULT & ROBBERY: Western District -- Police today were seeking a 23-year-old woman who reportedly threw a bowl of hot oatmeal on her roommate during an argument yesterday. Police said the man and woman, who live in the 1800 block of W. Mulberry St., were arguing around 11 a.m. when she threw the hot cereal, which hit him in the face and neck. The woman then picked up several pieces of clothing and a pair of athletic shoes and fled. Police said the man's clothing was valued at $300. It was not immediately known if the man sought medical treatment.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 600 block of N. Bentalou St. reported that someone broke into his home through the front door and stole two VCRs valued at nearly $900.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Property valued at nearly $800 was reported stolen from a dwelling in the 1300 block of N. Carey St. Monday after someone entered by removing a metal grate from a dining room window. Police said the intruder escaped with a TV, VCR and an AM-FM radio.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one with a handgun, accosted a man as he walked in the 700 block of Gold St. early yesterday and forced him to give up his money, two rings and a necklace, all valued at nearly $150.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police said $60, several pieces of clothing and a TV were stolen from a dwelling in the 1700 block of N. Carey St. after someone broke in. Police said the property was valued at nearly $300 and a man known by the victim is being sought.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone broke into an apartment in the 2300 block of McCulloh St. over the weekend by forcing open the front door and stole a TV valued at $500.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone used a bed sheet to carry away property stolen from a dwelling in the 2000 block of N. Bentalou St. yesterday. Police said the burglar entered the dwelling through a rear door and stole a TV and other property.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A man told police he was in the 1800 block of Warwick Ave. late last night when he was accosted by a man with a handgun. Police said that after the gunman stole his 1984 Nissan 300-ZX and a diamond ring valued at $400, he fired a shot at the victim. Police said the victim was not injured and the gunman drove away in the car.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- An out-of-town resident reported he was walking in the 3000 block of Windsor Ave. Monday night when he was assaulted by a man who knocked him to the ground and robbed him of cash and property, all valued at more than $1,000.

ROBBERY/ARREST: Southwestern District -- Police arrested a man and were holding him at the station pending charges in connection with the robbery Monday night of a man in the 2900 block of W. North Ave. Police said the victim was walking in the 2900 block of W. North Ave. around 8:30 p.m. when he was stopped by a man with a handgun who robbed him of cash and property, all valued at $30. Later, police arrested a 40-year-old man and were holding him at the station pending armed robbery charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 3000 block of Belmont Ave. told police that a 17-year-old youth who was visiting him over the weekend left Monday along with the man's money. The victim told police the youth took more than $400.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Southwestern District -- Police arrested a man and were holding him at the station pending aggravated assault charges. Police said the victim was in the 3000 block of W. North Ave. late Sunday night when a man she knows struck her with a wrench. Police said the woman sustained a minor injury.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A man with what appeared to be a small-caliber handgun robbed a clothing store at the Westside Shopping Center in the 2400 block of Frederick Ave. yesterday afternoon. Police said the man entered the Rainbow Shop shortly after 1 p.m. and ordered a female clerk to give him the contents of the cash register. After the clerk gave the man an undisclosed sum, he told her that he knew her name and where she lived, then left the store.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A woman walking in the 3000 block of Hanover St. early Tuesday was stopped by a man who pointed a handgun at her and demanded her money. Police said the gunman robbed the woman of $20.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone broke into a dwelling in the 200 block of Cherry Hill Road and stole property valued at more than $1,000. Police said the break-in occurred over the weekend.

THEFT: Northern District -- A man reported that while his 1991 Ford sedan was parked in the 4400 block of Falls Bridge Drive between 9 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. yesterday, the trunk was broken into and the jack was taken and used to remove the car's four wheels and tires.
