Dolores J. Henderson

Dolores Joanne Henderson, a native of Baltimore County who was active in many social clubs and enjoyed playing golf, cards and bowling, died of a stroke Saturday at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She was 67.

A Mass of Christian burial will be offered tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at St. William of York Church, 600 Cooks Lane in Catonsville.

Burial will be at 10 a.m Wednesday at New Cathedral Cemetery, 4300 Old Frederick Road.

A graduate of Western High School, she married Donald Henderson in 1943 and settled in Woodlawn. Mr. Henderson died in 1988.

Mrs. Henderson worked for 27 years as a medical secretary until her retirement in 1988.

She was active in numerous social clubs, including the Honeybees Social Club of Woodlawn, the Towson Women of the Moose and the Towson Rebels. She also belonged to golf clubs at Diamond Ridge and Carroll Park and was a member of the Little Women Bowling League in Catonsville.

Survivors include a brother, Thomas McShane of Catonsville; four sisters, Mary McGee of Delaware, Theresa Connor of Towson, Loretta Rae of Woodlawn, Leontia Strain of Kentucky; a daughter, Gail Schroeder of Pennsylvania; a son, Donald Henderson of Towson; and five grandchildren.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the American Heart Association of Maryland.
