Recipient's comments: "I felt really excited and happy when I won. At first I thought it waskind of a long shot, then more people got eliminated. And in my group they had to keep going on to tie-breakers and asked seven extra questions. I really did well and I won a $100, a National Geographic Society atlas, a ride on the Pride of Baltimore and a chance to go on tothe nationals May 20-21 in Washington against 56 other kids from theU.S. and territories."
