Perks for the White House?

It's your call

April 01, 1992

After months of being embarrassed by publicity about perks being paid for at taxpayers' expense and its bank and post office scandals, members of Congress are taking aim at the White House and the fringe benefits the executive branch has long received.

The Evening Sun would like to know what you think. Should full disclosure be made of how much the White House is spending? Do you think taxpayers are paying for the president's political travel in an election year?

To register your opinion, call SUNDIAL at 783-1800 (or 268-7736 in Anne Arundel County) today through midnight. After you hear the greeting, you'll be asked to punch in a four-digit code on your Touch-Tone phone. Punch 4600 and you'll be connected with "It's Your Call."
