Helen P. Hance

Helen P. Hance, who was active in volunteer and church work, died Sunday after a heart attack at her home in Prince Frederick. She was 94.

Services for Mrs. Hance will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Prince Frederick.

She had been a volunteer worker in the gift shop at Calvert Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Altar Guild at St. Paul's Church.

The former Helen Parran, a native of Lusby, was educated there before attending what is now Towson State University.

Her husband, Benjamin Hance, a lawyer in Prince Frederick, died in 1953.

She is survived by a son, Y.D. Hance of Prince Frederick; a sister, Ella Mae Woodward of Atlanta; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family suggested memorial contributions to St. Paul's Church.
