Mary Hood Jones School custodian

Services for Mary Hood Jones, a 33-year resident of Pasadena, will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway.

Mrs. Jones, who was 69, died Friday of heart failure at North Arundel Hospital.

Until her retirement in 1988, Mrs. Jones was a custodian for the Anne Arundel County school system for 13 years.

Fond of fishing and camping, Mrs. Jones was a member of the Magothy Beach Rod and Reel Club. She also belonged to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Glen Burnie.

Born and raised in Tennessee, the former Mary Hood was married in 1943 to Jack R. Jones, a Baltimore bricklayer. He died in 1979.

Mrs. Jones is survived by three daughters, Mary Lou Austin of Millersville, Jackie Austin of Glen Burnie and Brenda Gail Elliott of Pasadena; three sons, William Ray Wilson of Centreville, John Paul Jones of Hanover and Gary Eugene Jones of Glen Burnie; a sister, Dorothy Madrin of Pensacola, Fla.; a brother, Charles Hood of Decatur, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
