Rena M. McGinnes

Rena M. McGinnes, a retired legal secretary, died of cerebrovascular disease March 13 at her home on Linden Avenue in Towson. She was 72.

A memorial service for Mrs. McGinnes will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Loch Raven United Methodist Church, 6622 Loch Raven Blvd.

She retired in 1984 from the Towson law firm then known as Cook, Howard, Downes and Tracy, for which she had worked as a secretary for 25 years.

Earlier, the former Rena M. Smithers was a legal secretary in Harrisburg, Pa.

Born in Harrisburg, she was a graduate of West Penn High School and Central Pennsylvania Business College.

A volunteer with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, she enjoyed freshwater and Chesapeake Bay fishing.

In addition to her husband of 50 years, Robert F. McGinnes, her survivors include two sons, Charles R. McGinnes of Chestertown and Peter F. McGinnes of Towson, and a sister, Betty Bennett of Harrisburg.
