Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A man entered the 7-Eleven store in the 2900 block of Garrison Blvd. early yesterday and ordered a clerk to give him the contents of the cash register. Police said the gunman escaped with less than $40.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 2900 block of W. Cold Spring Lane reported that someone broke into her home yesterday morning by forcing the front door and stole more than $1,000 worth of jewelry.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone broke into a home in the 2600 block of Gatehouse Drive in the Village of Purnell over the weekend and stole property valued at more than $3,000.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A VCR and other household items were reported stolen when someone broke into a dwelling in the 3900 block of W. Cold Spring Lane Monday or yesterday. The property was valued at more than $3,400.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Two men, one with a handgun, accosted a couple as they walked in the 5600 block of York Road Sunday night and robbed the woman of a small amount of cash. Police said the woman and her companion, an out-of-town resident, were stopped by the men shortly after 10 p.m. They said the man was not robbed, but the woman was robbed of $12 while the gunman pointed the weapon at the man and threatened to shoot him.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 2800 block of N. Calvert St. reported he was walking near his home Monday night when he was attacked by a man who struck him in the face with his fist and robbed him of more than $50. Police said the victim suffered a minor injury to his eye.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Employees of Discount Sales & Leasing in the 4400 block of York Road reported that someone broke into the garage by forcing the door between Friday and Monday and stole tools and other property, all valued at more than $600.

CUTTING: Northern District -- Police were continuing their search for a man who cut a woman with a knife during an argument at her home over the weekend. They said the woman, of the 3800 block of Derby Manor Drive, was involved in an argument with a man she knowslate Sunday night when the man cut her on the right leg. Police said the man fled and the victim was taken to Sinai Hospital, where emergency room physicians closed the wound with several stitches.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone broke into an outdoor storage shed in the 4100 block of Weldon Place over the weekend by forcing the door and stole $600 worth of stereo equipment.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 300 block of E. University Parkway reported that someone entered her home Monday by breaking a pane of glass out of a door and stole a VCR of undetermined value.

ROBBERY TRY: Northern District -- A passer-by foiled an attack on a man in the 300 block of E. University Parkway Monday afternoon by three youths who grabbed the man around the neck and attempted to steal his tennis shoes. Police said the attempted robbery was witnessed by at least one passer-by who went to the aid of the victim, causing the youths to flee without taking any property.

THEFT: Northern District -- A car radio and several coins were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked over the weekend in the 1800 block of Kenway Road. Police said the property, including the radio, was valued at $300.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Two men, one with a handgun, accosted a woman on the parking lot of a Wendy's restaurant in the 5600 block of York Road Monday night and robbed her of the leather purse she was carrying. Police said the purse and its contents had a value of more than $200.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A student at Loyola College in the 4500 block of N. Charles St. reported he was riding a bicycle in the 400 block of Winston Ave. Monday when he was stopped by two men, one armed with a handgun, who robbed him cash and property valued at less than $20.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A man reported he was in the 1200 block of Bernard Drive early yesterday when he was accosted by four men, at least one of whom had a handgun, who robbed him of more than $100 and escaped on foot.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone broke into a dwelling in the 700 block of Wicklow Road yesterday morning and stole property valued at nearly $70.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 1200 block of Wicklow Road told police that property valued at several hundred dollars was stolen from his home yesterday between 9 a.m. and noon. Police said the burglar entered the house by forcing a door.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Two telephones and several pieces of jewelry were stolen from a house in the 5400 block of Jamestown Court after someone entered through a front window yesterday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
