ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police today were seeking the driver of a Royal cab who allegedly stole a 17-year-old girl's purse. The girl charged that the cabbie stole her purse when she complained that he hadn't lowered the flag on his trip meter during her ride. The victim, a resident of the 1600 block of Darley Ave., told police that when she arrived at her destination in the 4900 block of Sinclair Lane around 9 p.m. yesterday, the cabdriver requested $4 for the trip and a $1 service charge. The girl told police that when she refused to pay the fare, the cabbie grabbed her purse and drove off. Police said Royal cab 333 and its driver were still being sought early today.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1600 block of Gorsuch Ave. reported that someone broke into her home yesterday by forcing the front door and stole a 13-inch TV. Police said the property was valued at $200.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Employees of Monarch Services in the 4500 block of Harford Road reported that someone broke into the building over the weekend and stole packs of cigarettes from a vending machine. Police said entry into the building was by breaking a window.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A 12-year-old resident of the 2400 block of Fleetwood Ave. reported he was in the 2400 block of Hamilton Ave. Saturday evening when he was pushed off his 10-speed bicycle by two older youths who stole it. Later, police recovered the bicycle but no arrests had been made.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1500 block of Shadyside Road reported that while his 1987 Volkswagen was parked near his home between Sunday night and yesterday morning, someone broke into the vehicle and stole the car's radio, valued at $300.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police said property valued at nearly $600 was stolen from a dwelling in the 1200 block of Cochran Ave. by someone who gained entrance by breaking a rear basement window. Police said the break-in occurred over the weekend and that the intruder escaped with a TV, microwave oven, a stereo turntable and a cassette player.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 5000 block of Plymouth Road reported that property valued at more than $1,300 was stolen from his home last week after someone gained entry. Police said the burglar escaped with a 20-gauge shotgun, several compact discs, baseball cards and a large hunting knife.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Employees of Richard's, a card shop at the Parkville Shopping Center in the 7600 block of Harford Road, reported that someone entered a rear office yesterday and stole a bank bag containing more than $500 in currency and coins.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A 9-year-old boy who lives in the 2600 block of Harford Road reported that while he was walking in the 2600 block of Kirk Ave. yesterday after school, he was approached by two boys in their teens who robbed him of his book bag. Police said the book bag, several books and a small sum inside it was valued at more than $30.

BURGLARY/ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 200 block of N. Amity St. reported she was home early yesterday when a man broke in and demanded money. The victim told police the man grabbed her around the arms and assaulted her. He left after she gave him $10.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police reported a resident of the 2800 block of W. Mulberry St. was in the 800 block of N. Fremont Ave. early yesterday when he was stopped by two men, one armed with a sawed-off shotgun, who struck him in the face before robbing him of his wallet. Police said the gunman and his accomplice escaped with cash and property, all valued at more than $100.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police said a woman was robbed of her purse Sunday night by a man who approached her from behind while she walked in the 1700 block of Laurens St. The victim, a resident of the 1100 block of N. Mount St., told police the purse contained cash and property, all of unknown value.

THEFT: Western District -- Police reported that someone broke into a car while it was parked in the 2600 block of W. Lexington St. yesterday and stole a leather coat. The owner of the property, a resident of the 200 block of Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd., told police the coat was valued at more than $300.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Employees of Aero Motor Sales in the 1000 block of W. Baltimore St. reported that someone broke into the garage between Sunday night and yesterday morning and stole six starters, six alternators and a kerosene heater. Police said the property was valued at more than $300.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police reported that someone broke into the A Super Carry-Out in the 1200 block of W. North Ave. and stole cash, cigarettes and candy. Police said the property was valued at more than $400 and that entry was xTC gained by knocking a hole in an exterior wall.
