New positions

Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville appointed Daniel P. Rexford director of operations.

Nordstrom Rack, a Nordstrom clearance center opening April 2 in Silver Spring, appointed Sheila Schultz store manager.

Chesapeake Laser Systems Inc., a Lanham-based designer and manufacturer of laser measurement and inspection systems, promoted Lawrence B. Brown to president and appointed Gregory L. Wilson director of marketing and sales.

The Lady Maryland Foundation, a non-profit corporation that provides educational programs for youths, named Parker Rockefeller vice president/development.

UNC Inc., an Annapolis-based aviation company, promoted John Bonasia to executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Admiral Envelope & Printing Co. in Baltimore promoted Rodney Johnson to plant foreman.

Telecommunications Techniques Corp. in Germantown announced that John R. Peeler has been appointed president and chief executive officer. He also has been named corporate vice president of the parent company, Dynatech Corp., in Burlington, Mass.

Jerusalem Gifts & Baskets, a Jerusalem, Israel-based gift service, named Susan M. Shefter of Baltimore national sales agent.

Wartsila Diesel Inc., a Chestertown-based diesel engine manufacturer, appointed Paul B. Smith general manager.

Baltimore Thermal Energy Corp. promoted Steven H. Bergstrom to director of marketing.
