Sunnyfields is the place to shop for home designs

Sunnyfields, a gift and home design shop on Falls Road just north of Mount Washington, has been chosen as an authorized Winterthur accessory shop, one of only seven in the country. And for owner Jessica Schuler, it's like "coming full circle."

When her mother, the late Myrtle Helfrich, opened the shop (then called Sunnyfields Interiors) in the early 1960s, she designed parts of the store to resemble Winterthur, a museum she often visited. So it's not surprising that all the reproductions of Winterthur porcelains, paintings, rugs, wallpapers, fabrics and objets d'art seem to fit in as if they've always belonged there.

Mrs. Schuler -- who, with help from her son David, took over Sunnyfields eight years ago and dropped the interior design business -- has expanded the shop in other ways. Last spring she added upholstered furniture, and next month she'll be expanding the fabrics, children's items and garden accessories. always, Sunnyfields is the place to go for all kinds of display items.

Sunnyfields is located at 6305 Falls Road, just south of Old Pimlico Road. The hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The

telephone number is (410) 823-6666.
