Five seniors from the Seton Keough High School have been nominated for a scholarship commemorating the College of Notre Dame's 100th anniversary in 1996. They are: Shawn Howell, Jennifer Dunning, Marjorie Overhiser, Vanessa Gatto and Kaliq Hunter.
Kerry Ann O'Meara, a senior at Loyola College, has been awarded the Campus Compact Student Humanitarian Award, which is awarded to only five students from 265 institutions nationwide for their outstanding contributions to public service. The award includes a $1,500 stipend to support the students' continued community work.
Three Maryland students have been nominated as Presidential Scholars in the Arts by the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts. Matthew J. Doszkocs, Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda; Bahiyah Felosof Sayyed and Sandra Yvette Greer, both from the Baltimore School for the Arts.
Doris Brightful, community health nurse with School and Adolescent Health Services, was named Baltimore City Health Department Employee of the Month for March.
Catherine Burns of Pasadena celebrated her 100th birthday on March 13.
