A 19-year-old man and a juvenile were charged Thursday with possessing drugs with the intent to distribute in separate arrests in Annapolis.
The juvenile was arrested at 2:45 a.m. in the 1800 block of Bowman Court after a police officer saw him drop a plastic bag allegedly containing crack cocaine on the ground. The bag contained 18 rocks of crack, with an estimated street value of $204, police said.
The youth was charged with possession with the intent to distribute and released in the custody of his grandmother, police said. Police did not give the boy's age.
At 11:30 p.m. Thursday, a police officer pulled over a red and white Ford car because one of the tail lights was out. While searching the driver, the officer found a plastic bag containing 2.36 grams of marijuana, police said.
Tyrone C. Johnson, 19, of the 1100 block of Madison Street, was charged with possession, possession with the intent to distribute, and driving with a suspended license, police said.
SEVERN MEN SOUGHT IN D.C. MAN'S SHOOTING
County police have issued warrants for two more people in the March 8 shooting of a Washington man in Severn.
County homicide detectives are searching for Darrell Eugene Matthews, 20, of the 1700 block of Village Square Court in Severn, and Leonard Eugene Goliday, 19, of the 8200 block of Thompson Court in Severn.
The warrants charge both men with assault with intent to murder in the shooting of Jeremiah Wanamaker, 19, of the 3100 block of Station Road SE, police said.
Shortly after the 4:30 a.m. shooting, police picked up Ramon Edwards, 21, of the 1600 block of St. Margaret's Road in Annapolis, on a Meade Village street corner.
He was charged with assault with intent to murder, police said.
According to police, Edwards and Wanamaker had been arguing for several days.
Wanamaker was standing near a pay phone in the 1800 block of Richfield Drive at about 4:30 a.m. March 8 when several men walked up to him and began shooting.
Police have also charged Lamar Donita Wallace, 19, of the 1800 block ofArwell Court in Severn, with assault with intent to murder in connection with the shooting.
