Anne Arundel Community College (4-0) opened a 6-0 lead in the first four innings and went on to a 12-3 victory over visiting Catonsville CC in a Maryland Junior College Conference game yesterday.
Brent Flaharty paced a 12-hit attack for the winners with four singles and three runs scored. Jeff Dofflemyer had two doubles and drove in two runs.
Glenn Shiring, a freshman right-hander, allowed two runs and five hits in six innings to earn the win. He struck out two and walked one.
