Police seeking clues in man's slaying

March 13, 1992

Baltimore County police said no arrest has been made in the apparent drug-related slaying of a 23-year-old Edgemere man whose body was found yesterday in a field at the end of Cedar Avenue in the Hyde Park section of Essex.

The body of Cornell Antonio Yarbour, of the 2500 block of Sycamore Ave., was found around 11 a.m. yesterday by pedestrians on Cedar Avenue near Back River Neck Road, police said.

An examination of the fully-clothed body indicated that Mr. Yarbour had been shot several times in the upper torso with an unknown caliber firearm, police said.

Police said narcotics found near the body led homicide detectives to believe that the death may be drug-related.

An autopsy was set today, police said.

Anyone with information about Mr. Yarbour's slaying is urged to call the county police at 887-2198 or the Essex District station at 887-0220.
