Howard A. Rohrer

Howard A. Rohrer, a retired commercial artist who worked 33 years for the News American, died Saturday of heart failure at the Veterans Administration Medical Center at Fort Howard. He was 73.

Services for Mr. Rohrer, of the 3600 block of Kenyon Ave. in Baltimore, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 3331 Brehms Lane.

Until his retirement in 1982, "Bud" Rohrer worked in the art department of the News American, where his work was featured in the newspaper's advertising.

Tomorrow's services will be performed by the Rev. Gerard Huesman, who presided at the marriage ceremony of Mr. Rohrer and his wife, the former Louise Rosenberger, 48 years ago.

Mr. Rohrer also is survived by his son, Robert H. Rohrer of Baltimore; two granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters; as well as several nieces and nephews.
