Election tables in The Sun and The Evening Sun March 4, and in The Sun again March 5, reported incorrect Associated Press vote totals for the Republican primary in Maryland's 3rd Congressional District. According to unofficial vote totals from the State Administrative Board of Election Laws in Annapolis, William T. S. Bricker led the Republican primary with 3,568 votes. Mark White came in second with 3,201 votes.

Finishing behind Mr. White were Christopher E. Bouchat with 2,596 votes, Frederic Parker with 1,892, Wyatt A. Rogers with 1,617, Joseph M. Werner with 991 and Edward Lerp with 856.
