There will be two Anne Arundel County school board vacancies to be filled -- one in District 32 and one at large.
Candidates must be willing to serve a five-year term, be a resident of the district in which the vacancy has occurred, not be employed by the board or interested in profit on any board contract.
Candidates must be sponsored by non-partisan and non-profit organizations of 10 or more mainly adult members, which have bylaws, and have been existence for one year.
The deadline for applications is Saturday. Delegate designation forms must be received by March 20.

There will be three opportunities for candidates to be heard and discuss their views and goals with the public. The dates are 7 p.m. April 7 at Southern High School in Harwood, 7 p.m. April 16 at Meade High School at Fort Meade and 7 p.m. at Glen Burnie High.
Voting takes place at 7 p.m. May 6 at Severna Park Senior High.
