Divorced women as nuns?

It's your call

March 02, 1992

Among 240 SUNDIAL callers who identified themselves as Roman Catholics, 173, or 72 percent, said divorced women should be allowed to become nuns; 67 callers (27 percent) disagreed.

Among 158 callers who said they are non-Catholic, 107 (67 percent) were in favor of allowing divorced women to become nuns, while 51 (32 percent) were against that idea.

"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically, as a scientific public opinion poll would be.
