Trees Are Stolen From Crofton Yard

A Crofton man reported to police that several trees were stolen fromhis backyard this month.

Officers said the trees were uprooted and carried away sometime between Feb. 8 and yesterday.

The trees were valued at about $150, police said.

Police have no suspects.


A 24-year-old Annapolis woman reported that she was raped early yesterday near a recreationcenter in the 200 block of Croll Drive, police said.

The woman told police she was walking near the recreation center shortly before 2a.m. when a man accosted her, threw her on the ground and forced herto have sexual intercourse.

Her attacker ran away when several other people began walking toward the area, the woman told police.
